My husband and I eat here at least once a month, sometimes more. They have the best chicken tacos and flautas I've ever had in my life! Their yellow sauce is to die for! You will not be disappointed!

The food here is great. Its tasty and there are some flavors and dishes to choose from here that you don't see all over the place. I'm sure a lot of peruvian chicken places have these dishes, but here in Glen Burnie; its a great change of pace. I really enjoyed the food here.

I was thinking of Boston Market for chicken and spinach but I missed the store so instead I thought of Perchi's since I wanted to try it. Perchi's is my gut feeling means Per(u)chi(cken) in short. I got what's in the name, and nobody here thought about where the name come from. I knew that it can't be a name of a person but really a short name for Peruvian chicken. In my opinion, it's quite inventive name. I knew from the glowing reviews in yelp that I will get a good food at Perchi's. The reviews are true; I did enjoy the chicken fried rice (or Chaupa) and the fantastic Peruvian seasoned chicken. The rice was soft and oozing with chicken flavor. Thank goodness that it is not a regular Chinese fried rice. The portion of the food is enough to fill you up at $6plus. Fried plaintains were soft and freshly cooked. With high compliments like this, I won't be afraid to try another food in the menu.

AWESOME. All I can say. This is a Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken joint, which have been getting a bit of a buzz lately, but not everyone knows about them so I'll go into a bit of detail. If you think your typical American style rotisserie chicken ala Boston Market is good prepare to be born again. Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken also known as El Pollo Rico (rich or delicious chicken) or Super Chicken is marinated for up to 24 hours in a mysterious mix of spices that just might have been handed down from Inti, the Incan sun god (really. it is that good.) before being rotated over flaming goodness. It is traditionally served in quarters or halves with Peruvian mayonnaise (another example of the Peruvian version blowing away the American one) and aji verde (green chili sauce) with a side of french fries or yuca (a starchy root vegetable, not unlike potato, from Latin America) and a salad... but they also have other sides like plantains and chaufa (the Peruvian take on Chinese fried rice). The chicken subs (which use that same Super Chicken) are also really good. This is not a fancy place by any means, but it's affordable, the staff is always friendly (more than willing to practice some Spanish, my major, with me) and the food is incredible. If you're not in the Glen Burnie area I have seen similar places along Broadway in Baltimore and for the DC people, I hear very good things about one in Arlington VA that is simply called El Pollo Rico. Point is trying this chicken is a must for anyone that loves good food.

This place isi DISGUSTING! I have been a customer of Perchi's for FIVE YEARS. Tonight, when my husband and I were eating there, a ROACH crawled on my shirt, and then on the table. When we told the cashier, she confirmed that it was a roach (my husband had killed it) and called the owner. First, he offered $5, and then 1/2 of the price of our meal, which I did not accept, being that this is a serious health issue and we didn't finish our meal. When the employee handed the phone to me, the owner started yelling at me immediately, asking me where the roach came from (gee, I don't know; next time I'll ask it!), and told me that unless it was in our food, it didn't come from his restaurant. He then hung up on me. Tomorrow I will be filing reports with the Health Dept. and the BBB. When I got home, I called back to ask for the employee's and owner's names, and she refused to give them to me (I only wanted her name so that I could say in my reports that she was nice and trying to be helpful, but OH WELL). She said I had to come in and talk to the owner in person (yeah, I'm really inclined to do that, after he yelled at me and hung up on me). The new owner is outrageously rude and obviously doesn't care about a loyal customer, and I hope my $20 is worth it to him. Not only am I disgusted, but I am allergic to roaches. Will NEVER go near this place again!

It's nice to have a Peruvian place nearby, but this retaurant isn't really anything special. The chicken is great, but the sides sometimes leave a bit to desire: the plantains are greasy, the rice is bland, and the salsa isn't very flavorful. One time my friend found a bone in her sandwich. It always takes several minutes to fill an order, even of items that come out pretty quick other places. Perchi's isn't worth visiting unless you have a serious craving for some Peruvian food.

We were recommended by some friends and coworkers to try this place out. After reading the reviews on yelp and considering that it's incredibly close by, we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, the first time we went, they ran out of chicken...at 6pm on a Friday night. How does a chicken place run out of chicken during peak dinner time?? But, we kinda anticipated this this our friends had warned us that it happens, so we gave it another try on a Saturday afternoon. Hooray! They had chicken! Excited to finally try this "famed" chicken joint, we took it home and were pretty disappointed. The flavor of the meat was fine and we could tell that it was well-marinated. However, the texture of the chicken threw me off. It had an odd mushiness to it that made me think they had overcooked and then mashed the meat to hide that fact or it was just a bad chicken. My husband didn't care for it either and he LOVES rotisserie chicken. Besides these two aspects, the meal wasn't that memorable. For $11, I'd rather go to Shop Rite and pick up one of their rotisserie chickens for $5! I might go back to try one of their other signature Peruvian dishes (like loma saltado), but I don't think I'll be ordering the chicken again.

Great place for Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken and the yucca fries are the best!

This little place serves very tasty Peruvian chicken. In fact the owner told me that on Friday and Saturday nights there are so many people buying chickens that the restaurant often runs out of chicken. They just can't make enough, so get there early. They also have the best tamale I have ever eaten. The bistec al pobre is also fantastic. It's a steak that comes with two eggs, fries and delicious sweet plantains. This place is about excellent ethnic food served in a very budget environment, so you need to bring your sense of adventure. If you are concerned about decor, you might want to carry out, but you wont be disapointed by the food.

My buddies and I each had the 1/4 chicken with rice and fried plantains and they were pretty dang good. There is no AC so be prepared to sweat, but the food was quickly served and very tasty at a great price.

I don't think there are many Peruvian chicken places around here so maybe that's why the reviews are better than I'd expected them to be after having my "meh" dinner. Perhaps I'm just spoiled because I work near Sardi's (which is on-fucking-point), but the chicken, sides, and sauces are all lacking the flavor that I'm used to. Most places have black beans and white rice sold together as one side, but here it counted as two separate ones. Further, I'm fairly certain these beans came straight from a can. And there weren't any steamed veggies (I usually get green beans). Their green sauce is really spicy is which is ok, but it's not very flavorful. I've been here twice and the people working are friendly, but I think they could definitely ramp up their food game.

You have to get past the fact that the interior is cheap looking and the menu is somewhat confusing. Also there may be an attendant whose English is not the best and you might have to repeat your order a couple of times to make sure it is right. But all that really matters is that Perchi's chicken is soooo gooood. Fantastical. I'm also a big fan of the fried yuca, the plantains and the sweet potatoes. The prices are decent too however the can of soda giveaway with the meal is kinda cheesy (can we get a real drink please). Can't wait to go back for more terrific chicken.

There was a huge language barrier between the cashier and customer. It appeared as though they did not understand there own menu. He would have also liked to have been notified that the fish (Tilipia) was not filleted.

So. Freakin' DELICIOUS!! My only complaints are that they should really be more liberal with that delicious white sauce of theirs. And also that I can't afford to shove their chicken and fried plantain in my face every single day.

The food is great specially the chicken n the fried fish I love it, price is also not bad, but it seems like whenever I want to try a different food they say they r out of it, but other than that its not bad...

This is my 3rd Peruvian chicken joint I've been to and I have to say, I wasn't impressed unless I'm looking for a plate full of skin. Yes, I said "skins". I ordered the 1/4 chicken meal with two sides, one of chaufa (their version of fried rice) and one of fried plantains. My husband ordered the 1/4 chicken as well with sweet potatoes topped with marshmallow ( Peruvian? I doubt it) and black beans. My chicken was very overcooked, had nice flavor but not the spices I've know Peruvians to marinate their meat with. The skin was crispy and the best part of it all. The chicken was so overcooked that you can tell tell that the meat shrunk.. Yes, it shrank. Have you ever over roasted a pepper and you were left with just the skin and no pulp? Kind of like that. The rice you can tell had been sitting there for some time because half the rice was dried out and had bits of chicken through out it. I tasted a flowery note in the rice and I kept going in trying to decipher it. They use fresh ginger in it.. I even found bits of ginger fibers throughout it. Not good.. It's way too dominating. First I had seen/heard that ginger is used in their chaufa. The fried plantains were good but their Amarillo (yellow) sauce was tangy.. Not great. Their green sauce was ok but not great either. Similar to pickled jalapeños puréed. I tried the sweet potato and they were incredibly sweet.. Our 1yr was barely into them but only for a few bites. We ordered that just for her.The black beans were tasty, 2 yr old ate half the portion. The dinners were pretty inexpensive. Around $6.50 ish a plate and if you want water..You can only get it by buying their bottled water. I would not come here again.. Chicken Rico in B-more is the best by far. Get some!

Ordered the lunch special on the menu -1/4 chicken with a choice of two sides and a soda for 6.95. Apparently the special is only good Mon-Fri, which no where did it say it excludes weekends. The lunch special is advertised twice -on their wall menu and their pamphlet menu. I was a little upset about the false advertisement, but even more upsetting was that a canned drink and even a bottled water costs $2.00! Anyway, back to food, my chicken was on the dry side. They over seasoned the rice with soy sauce. Their coleslaw looked like it was drenched in mayo, but it actually tasted good. Their peruvian style beans were also pretty good. I did take a bite of my fiance's shrimp burrito, it tasted pretty fair, nothing amazing. Same goes for the fried plantains. Nothing extravagant. I went there in hopes of trying some amazing rotissari chicken, but i was very disappointed. It was hot in there -they need to crank up the AC unit in this summer weather. The cashier lady did not speak much english... there was a little but of a language barrier between her and us... I wouldn't go out of my way to come eat here again...

Price was right and portion was perfect for lunch. The chicken had that perfectly crisp skin and was moist on the inside. I chose the plantains ($0.50 more) and slaw as sides and wasn't disappointed. The menu also seemed to have a lot of authentic dishes I had never heard of.

I use to have class at GBTC right next door so I would eat here every once in a while (It was a 5 hour class, ugh!). Anyways, I like that it was very authentic looking but the food was just not on point. I ordered the chicken tacos a few times and I always thought it was like having a left over chicken sandwich but on a taco. Very plain and no flavor. There is nothing at all special about it but it does satisfy hunger. They gave me a lot of food every time I went there. But it took forever for them to finish an order of anything. I was in a rush so I stood the whole time and they were having a cow that I wasn't sitting down to relax. I kind of think that they just don't want people watch them prepare the food which kind of concerned me. I see that Frank J had friend who found a bone in her sandwich, I too had one. Not pleasant. The food is edible but I have concerns. It's definitely not disgusting, just not anything special.

This is quite a unique place around here. The chicken is outstanding, and the portions are reasonably sized. I never had Peruvian food before, so I can't make any judgments on the quality except to say that the seasonings tasted great to me.

My place of choice when the family is in need for pollo a la brasa. We are frequent visitors to Perchi's and only order the chicken . Is is the best chicken I've ever had? No but it is good for a neighborhood spot. Service is always fast and attentive. No complaints on that part. I brought it to work recently and everyone loved it. The chicken is always moist and full of flavor. Plantanos maduros leave a bit to be desired but are serviceable. It seems they do not let the plantano age enough to get that desired sweetness. The yucca frita is always done just right with the required crispness. The garlic white sauce is always on point.

We've been there before, and the food averaged out to a three-star (good chicken, OK sides). On our second trip here, we were so disappointed in the place that we walked out. It was a Saturday early dinner. There was one person in front of us in line, and two at the tables waiting to be served. The kid running the register was probably thirteen, and he spent the entire time we were in there on his phone (either taking orders or talking). The gentleman running the kitchen plodded along making one dish at a time, slowly and somewhat disinterestedly. We waited about ten minutes - during which the one person in line in front of us never quite got finished making her order - and then we left to go next door for Thai. It may have just been a totally off day, but I don't really see myself making the effort to go there if they're not even going to make the effort to say "I'll be with you in a minute." Or even make eye contact.

Excellent chicken, definately the only true peruvian place in the area. Worth a stop in Glen Burnie for this great food.

Moving from the city, I wanted to find a place similar to Chicken Rico, one of my favorite restaurants. I found Perchis via Yelp and decided to give it a try. The chicken was good, the chicken rice was great. The place was clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. I'll definitely be returning.
